Report expected annual income to the artists' social security fund

If you are insured through the Artists' Social Security Fund, you must submit an annual income estimate.

Are you self-employed as an artist or journalist and insured with the Künstlersozialkasse (KSK) or entitled to a subsidy? Then you must report your expected income from your self-employed artistic or journalistic work once a year.

This information always relates to the coming year and forms the basis for calculating the monthly contributions or subsidies.

Please note when submitting your income estimate:

  • To determine your expected earned income, take into account both your experience from previous profits and losses in recent years and the future order situation.
  • Always state your income estimate in full euro amounts.
  • If you are expecting a loss, enter EUR 0 as the expected earned income.

If you do not submit your income estimate on time, you will jeopardize your insurance status or your entitlement to a subsidy. In addition, failure to submit the income estimate on time is an administrative offense that can be punished with a fine.

Requirements

  • You must currently be subject to compulsory insurance via the KSK.
  • The KSK has asked you to submit your income report.

What documents do I need?

  • You do not need to submit any additional documents.
