You can apply for the organic waste garbage can in various ways.       

 Online       


  • The online form guides you step by step through the application process.
  • You can submit the required documents digitally.
  • You will receive the notification by post.

 By telephone   


  • You can apply for the organic waste garbage can by telephone.

 Electronically   


  • You can send the "Order and/or deregistration of waste garbage cans" form by e-mail to the customer service department of Die Bremer Stadtreinigung.

 The garbage can will be delivered to your property address after successful processing. A delivery bill and further information will be attached to the garbage can on delivery.

There is no obligation to use an organic waste garbage can in Bremen.   

 Please place the garbage can on the sidewalk on the collection day with the lid closed and the handle facing the street. Put the garbage can out from 18:00 at the earliest the day before or by 06:00 at the latest on the day of emptying. Please also make sure to label your garbage can with the street and house number.   

 Allow moist organic waste to drain well and wrap it in newspaper. This helps to prevent freezing in winter and unpleasant odors in summer.
