Procedure

            			
  • An informal application is usually sufficient for the allocation of a red classic car license plate. You can submit this in writing or hand it in personally at the registration authority. You can also authorize a representative with your written power of attorney to submit the application.
  • Appointments for processing at the central vehicle registration authority can be made online at www.termine-bremen.de or by calling the Bremen citizens' hotline on 115.
  • Once the applicant's background check has been completed (approx. 4 - 6 weeks), the Central Vehicle Registration Authority will issue a vehicle registration booklet.
  • The insurance company is automatically informed by the registration authority about the allocation of the license plate.

Tip:  

The license plates can be produced after registration. Private providers have set up near the registration authority for this purpose. The costs for the plates are not included in the fees. The license plates are stamped by the registration authority, i.e. provided with stickers for the main inspection and the registration district.
