Integration aid for disabled people


Procedure

Integration assistance benefits can be both cash benefits and benefits in kind. The amount and scope of the benefits are calculated according to

  • the type and severity of the disability
  • financial circumstances

Integration assistance benefits are applied for at the Office for Social Services of the district in which the beneficiary lives.

Depending on the individual case, various forms of proof may be required when applying, such as proof of income or medical reports. It is recommended that you obtain information about the required documents from the responsible office before submitting an application.

In the school sector, applications are made directly to the respective school.

In addition to the benefits listed above, other costs are to be covered under the conditions specified in Sections 20 and 22 of the Integration Assistance Ordinance.

These include:

  • The costs for the instruction of caregivers (§ 20 Integration Assistance Ordinance).
  • Travel costs for the accompanying person (§ 22 Integration Assistance Ordinance).
  • Other travel-related expenses of the accompanying person (§ 20 Integration Assistance Ordinance).
  • Other expenses of the accompanying person (§ 22 Integration Assistance Ordinance).
