After-school care centers provide care, education and educational support for school children until the end of elementary school. This means that there is more than just lunch and supervision with homework. It is also about group experiences, skills for building social relationships, cooperation, leisure activities, creativity and much more. The children are involved in the planning and organization of the daily routine in the after-school care center and the educational program. 

An after-school care fee must be paid in advance for each of your children registered for after-school care. Your income and the number of your children will be taken into account appropriately.

								    

									    Requirements
The child is registered for after-school care with a parents' association, private commercial provider or in day care in Bremen.

								    
What documents do I need?
    
    
  • Parents' associations or private commercial sponsors        
    • The after-school care fees are charged by the childcare facility.
    • To apply for a subsidy towards the parental contribution, income documents of all family members living in the same household as the child are required.

  • Day care        
    A registration of foster children in Bremen (PiB) as well as income documents of all family members living in the same household as the child.
