Basic information
You can dispose of your textile waste at all recycling and green stations in Bremen and at some container sites in the city.
Please only throw bagged textiles and shoes into the containers. Please wash textiles beforehand. Please bundle shoes in pairs.
These are textiles and shoes:
- Clothing of all kinds, shoes (bundled in pairs), hats,
- knitwear, stuffed animals, woolen blankets,
- underwear, bed linen,
- curtains (without hooks,
- etc.), comforters,
- pillows,
- bags
These are not textiles and shoes:
- Torn or heavily soiled textiles, cleaning cloths,
- carpets, rugs, WC sets, umbrellas,
- ice skates
Requirements
- The delivery of waste and recyclable materials is only permitted with vehicles with a permissible total weight of up to 3.5 tons
- The delivery of waste and recyclable materials must be sorted by type and free from harmful contamination and adhesions.
- The textiles and shoes come from a private household in Bremen that is connected to the municipal waste disposal system.
