If you have large quantities of residual waste or do not want to wait until the next collection day, you can drop it off at the recycling stations.
Basic information
The recycling of residual waste from private households is the responsibility of Bremen's municipal waste disposal service. This also applies to residual waste from other areas, for example from commercial enterprises or public institutions.
You can hand in loose residual waste at recycling stations.
This is residual waste:
- Wallpaper
- animal litter
- Small pieces of wood
- Household items and crockery
- Sanding and sawdust
- soiled paper and cardboard
- soiled foils
- emulsion paints (hardened)
- medicines
- diapers
- vacuum cleaner bags
- ashes
- Audio and video cassettes
- hygiene articles
- garbage
- Drinking and household glasses
- CD cases
This is not residual waste:
- Hazardous substances
- electrical appliances
- Construction waste
- Recyclable materials such as metals, paper and cardboard
- Organic and garden waste
- Sales packaging
Requirements
- The delivery of waste and recyclable materials is only permitted with vehicles with a permissible total weight of up to 3.5 tons.
- The delivery of waste and recyclable materials must be sorted by type and free of harmful contaminants and adhesions.
- The residual waste comes from a private household.
What documents do I need?
- Official proof of identity or fee notice (original)
In justified cases, the joint presentation of the official proof of identity and the fee notice may be requested.
- Declaration of waste origin
Upon request, the deliverers must sign a declaration stating their name, address including telephone number and presenting official proof of identity, in which the exact private origin of the waste and/or recyclables is stated and confirmed.
