Do you have furnishings (furniture etc.) that you want to dispose of? Then you can hand in your bulky waste at the recycling stations.
Basic information
You can hand in your bulky waste up to 2 m³ at a time at the recycling stations. Larger quantities are also possible at the Blockland recycling station.
This is bulky waste:
- Furniture and furnishings:
- Sofa, lounger, bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, table, mattress, slatted frame, seating furniture (armchair, chair, stool), shelving, wardrobe, empty suitcases, carpet/PVC (rolled up or bundled), scratching post, dog basket
- Large electrical appliances:
- Refrigerators, freezer, tumble dryer, TV, monitor, printer, washing machine, dishwasher, stove, air conditioner, electric heater, microwave, vacuum cleaner, fan, lamp, electronic garden appliances
- Metal objects:
- Bed frame, jumping frame, baby carriage, bicycles, scooter, barbecue, clothes horse, parasol
- Large plastic parts:
- Laundry basket, bathtub, garden furniture, flower pot
This is not bulky waste:
- Construction waste:
- Windows, doors, laminate and sanitary ceramics, pipes, baseboards and skirting boards
- Residual waste and plastic parts that fit into the Bremen bin liner
- Recyclable materials:
- Paper and cardboard, garden waste, textiles, glass and sales packaging
- Hazardous substances and waste containing asbestos
- Car parts:
- Car wrecks and car parts, motorcycles and tires
Requirements
- The bulky waste comes from a private household that is connected to the municipal waste disposal system in Bremen.
- The delivery of waste and recyclables is only permitted with vehicles with a permissible total weight of up to 3.5 tons
- The delivery of waste and recyclable materials must be sorted by type and free from harmful contamination and adhesions.
What documents do I need?
- Official proof of identity or fee notice (original)
In justified cases, the joint presentation of the official proof of identity and the fee notice may be requested.
- Declaration of waste origin
Upon request, the deliverers must sign a declaration stating their name, address including telephone number and presenting official proof of identity, in which the exact private origin of the waste and/or recyclables is stated and confirmed.
