If you as the applicant are resident in Bremen or the transport begins in Bremen, the Office for Roads and Traffic is responsible for issuing the permit. The route check must have been carried out by you beforehand (route request). 

You can submit your application via the nationwide application procedure VEMAGS (Procedure Management for Large and Heavy Goods Transports). Use of this system is free of charge for you as the applicant. All you have to do is register in VEMAGS. You will then receive your access data by e-mail. Another advantage for you is that you can call up the status of the approval procedure at any time.

									    Requirements
Technical requirements for classification as "large and heavy goods transport" 
  • longer than 16.50 meters
  • wider than 2.55 meters
  • higher than 4.00 meters
  • heavier than 41.8 tons
