Procedure

• Applications must be made in writing or by telephone by the property owner. Tenants should contact their landlord.
• For private households, the size of the residual waste garbage can depends on the number of people in the household.
• For commercial enterprises and clubs, the size is determined individually depending on the industry and number of employees. This is done by the commercial customer service department of Die Bremer Stadtreinigung.

More information

This is residual waste:

• Wallpaper, animal litter, small pieces of wood, light bulbs, household items, household dishes, sanding and sawing dust, soiled paper and cardboard, soiled foil, buckets, emulsion paints, medication, diapers, vacuum cleaner bags, ashes, file folders, audio and video tapes

This is not residual waste:

• Pollutants, electrical appliances, recyclables

Tip:

If the residual waste garbage can is exceptionally too full, you can also dispose of residual waste with the Bremen bin liner. It can be purchased at the following recycling stations and in many retail outlets at a price of 7.50 euros:

• Blockland
• Blumenthal
• Burglesum
• Hohentor
• Hastedt
• Kirchhuchtingen
• Oberneuland

Residual waste can also be delivered loose to these recycling stations. Different charges apply depending on the quantity delivered, 10.00 euros per 120 liters or part thereof.
