Residual waste is disposed of in the residual waste garbage can. Every property on which waste may accumulate must be connected to the municipal waste disposal system.

The residual waste garbage cans (60 - 240 liters) are collected every 14 days. Please refer to your Bremen waste calendar for the dates. The number of regular collections included in the waste fee can be found in the fee table. Please place the garbage can on the street from 18:00 at the earliest on the day before collection, but no later than 06:00 on the day of collection. 

Every property in Bremen must be equipped with a sufficiently large residual waste garbage can. Each person is required to provide 15 liters per person per week. It is possible to share waste bins, even between properties.
