Apply for registration as a professional counselor

Procedure

• You must submit an application for registration in writing by post, e-mail or DE-Mail.
• You submit this application to the competent parent authority at the local care authority.
  
  • The local care authority in whose district your place of business is located (e.g. your office) is responsible for you.
  • If you do not have a place of business and work from home, the care authority at your place of residence is responsible.
• You submit the application with all the necessary documents.
  
  • It will be checked whether all documents have been submitted.
  • It will be checked whether you meet all the requirements.
• After the check, you must prove your suitability and reliability in a personal interview.
• You must then prove that you have professional liability insurance for financial losses.
• Once you have successfully completed the registration process, you will be sent a registration certificate.
