Procedure
- An application can
- by e-mail,
- fax,
- sent by post or
- in person at the ASV.
- A new application must be submitted to extend the exemption.
- For a child or a person under legal care, the application must be submitted by the legal representative.

The parking permit must be clearly visible behind the windshield. The original of the permit must always be carried.
The parking permit is valid throughout Europe.
An exemption permit can also be issued for the above-mentioned groups of people who do not have a driving license, which is then displayed in the respective vehicle.
A personal disabled parking space (home, workplace) can be applied for separately. In contrast to the parking permit, there is no legal entitlement to an individual disabled parking space.
A parking space can be reserved individually for a specific person with a severe disability if
- there is a shortage of parking spaces,
- a parking space is not available within a reasonable distance,
- there is no stopping ban and a temporary special parking right (e.g. for the workplace) is not sufficient.
