The upper secondary school of vocational schools is called Berufliches Gymnasium (BGy). It concludes with the Abitur (general university entrance qualification). This allows you to take up any course of study or vocational training. 

The profiles of vocational high schools are based on specific fields of study and occupation: Technical practice as well as fundamentals in business and computer science play an important role in each profile. As a result, they offer particularly good preparation for degree programs and apprenticeships with such emphases. This also means that the lessons are not only about content, but also about learning methods, teamwork and project management, for example. In addition, all students can complete an internship in the upper school.
